J.J. Morison Scholarships
Who it’s for: Early-career employees in brewing, distilling, or allied industries, worldwide.
What it covers: Scholarship for any CIBD exam.
Eligibility: Candidates must be backed by their employer, be at an early career stage, and able to demonstrate high achievement academically or professionally.

For UK brewers, preferably in the South West, taking the Diploma in Brewing Module 1
Roger Ryman Scholarship
Who it’s for: For UK brewers, preferably in the South West, taking the Diploma in Brewing Module 1.
What it covers: Sponsorship for Diploma 1 in Brewing (Module 1 - Materials & Wort Production).
Additional support offered: Two weeks’ practical experience, a dedicated mentor, and ongoing guidance from brewers at St Austell Brewery and Bath Ales.
Eligibility: Applicants must meet CIBD entry requirements for the Diploma, hold UK residential status, and preferably be based in the South West of England. This award is ideally for brewers who cannot be funded by their employer.

The Worshipful Company of Distillers Bursaries
Diploma in Distilling
What it covers: A full three-year qualification worth over £5,000, including Tutor Guided Learning, plus mentoring and career support from WCD experts.
Eligibility: UK resident, 18+, with a genuine interest in building a career in distilling. Applicants must show aptitude for learning and a commitment to the industry, though exceptional candidates without formal training may also be considered. General Certificate in Distilling
What it covers: Exam entry plus Set for Success preparation sessions, worth over £1,000, alongside mentoring and career advice from WCD experts.

Who it’s for: UK-based candidates in support roles across the drinks and hospitality industry, looking to study the Essentials in Brewing or Essentials in Distilling courses
