Chair
Zane Barnes
My journey as a brewer started when I left school in 1967 to work as a laboratory technician in my local brewery. I graduated with my degree in Brewing Science from Heriot Watt University in 1974. I became a CIBD member in 1978. I was elected a Fellow in 2015, having undertaken senior technical roles throughout the UK and posts overseas (Trinidad and Tobago, South Australia, USA).
I have been a CIBD Brewing Diploma examiner and a Brewing Sciences lecturer at Heriot-Watt University. In my retirement I continue as an Associate Professor of Brewing Science at the University of Nottingham and am a major contributor to the Brewer Apprentice programme.
I have had a wonderful life working for the Brewing Industry. Along the way my membership of CIBD has given me a focus for professional development and provided a network of valued colleagues and friends. Come and join us.

I’m Dominika, and I’ve spent 22 years in the brewing industry in various roles. I’m proud to be part of this dynamic field and truly enjoy working with people. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of spending 11 years with Carlsberg and another 11 years with Molson Coors Beverage Company (MCBC).
As a Master Brewer, I had the privilege of working across different breweries and countries, enjoying meeting people and visiting various breweries.
