Join us for the first-ever CIBD Distilling Event in New Zealand, hosted at the Pōkeno Whiskey distillery. This exclusive tour includes behind-the-scenes access to the distillery and its on-site cooperage — a rare opportunity not offered on standard tours.
Led by founder Matt Johns, the visit offers insight into the craft of whiskey production and barrel-making, followed by a guided whiskey tasting session, light food, and relaxed networking with fellow brewers and distillers.
Travel Tip: Direct bus from Auckland Central to Pōkeno departs at 13:00 (arrives at 14:00); return bus leaves at 18:35. Approx. 40 minutes by car.
Note: Please wear enclosed footwear (no PPE required).
