Join us for a CIBD Member exclusive event at the Old Midleton Distillery!
We will begin with a guided tour of the Garden Stillhouse, followed by a technical visit to the Spirit Store, including the B1 Robotics cask unloading system and the filling and disgorging area. The experience continues with a cask tasting in Warehouse 21 before returning for a hands-on whiskey blending session with the expert team. The experience will conclude with a final tasting of MVR 2025!
Schedule
- 13:30 – Arrival at The Midleton Experience (eircode P25 Y394)
- 13:50 – Welcome address in Warehouse 8 auditorium (PPE and safety moment)
- 14:30 – Tour of the Garden Stillhouse
- 15:15 – Technical tour of:
- Cask unloading: B1 Robotics
- Filling/Disgorging – Spirit store
- 16:00 – Tour and tasting in Warehouse 21
- 17:00 – Blending session with Blending team
- 18:15 – Q&A and final tasting
- 18:45 – Departure.
- 19:00 – Meeting at JJ Coppingers for a post event gathering with food (finger food/light snacks)
Safety footwear is essential. At minimum, please wear sturdy closed-toe shoes – no high heels, sandals, or open-toed footwear.
PPE (helmet, glasses, high-vis) will be provided on site.
