Hands-on brew day in Lancashire - open to all members and guests, whatever your experience level!

Take part in a fun, hands-on brew day designed to bring together brewers - especially those in the early stages - for a day of learning, collaboration, and networking.

Hosted by Will Pammenter, Head Brewer and the team at Lancaster Brewery, participants will work together to develop and brew cask beer. The beer will be showcased later this year at the CIBD Great Northern Section Annual Dinner.

Ahead of the event, we’ll collaborate on the recipe via WhatsApp. Please provide your mobile number when registering to be added to the GNS Community group and the dedicated brew day chat.

There will be an opportunity to socialise after the event in the on-site event space and taproom.

A safety briefing will be given on the day.

Please note:

  • Guests will be asked to fill in a health questionnaire
  • Bring non-slip, steel toe cap safety boots
  • Long hair should be tied back
  • Preferably bring Hi-Vis
  • Dress appropriately for a hands-on brew day — you’ll be mashing in, rubbing hops, and digging out spent grain, so expect to get stuck in!

  • Approx £8 Taxi
  • Free Onsite parking
  • Coming from the North 10 min from J34 M6
  • Coming from the South 10 min from J33 M6
  • Follow signs for the Leisure park.

Why You Should Attend:

  • Meet other brewers in the industry.
  • Learn what it takes to make some great beer from experienced brewers and suppliers, including water, malt, hops and yeast basic principles for recipe development. 
  • Get involved and get your hands dirty brewing.
