Muntons PLC Tithe Top, Tithe Top Farm, Huggate Road, Driffield YO25 9FE

Discover the process behind modern specialist peated malt production at this peating plant visit.

Using germinated malt from nearby Muntons Bridlington maltings, the team kilns, peats, dresses and packs three distinct peated products on site, supplying distillers and brewers across the UK and beyond.

This is a valuable opportunity to see how peated smoke is used in production and how malt is prepared for distribution to customers worldwide.

The visit will include talks from Simon Whittington (Technical Brewing Malt Sales), and Edward Woodmansey (Operations Manager) at Muntons.

How to get there:

  • By car: Car parking is available on site.
  • By train: The nearest train station is Driffield, approximately 15 minutes by taxi from the venue.
  • Accommodation: For those wishing to stay overnight, there is a choice of hotels in Malton.
