Join the CIBD Scottish Section for an industry update on the 2025 wheat and barley harvest and the outlook for the 2026 crop.
In this webinar, we’ll explore how weather conditions during 2025 influenced the wheat and barley harvest, including impacts on both yield and grain quality. The session will also examine protein levels and variability between farms, in the context of the current industry slowdown.
Looking ahead, the speaker will provide a provisional overview of the 2026 winter wheat and barley crop.
The webinar will conclude with reflections on agricultural policy and an overview of the work the Scottish Whisky Research Institute (SWRI) is supporting to help make British agriculture more sustainable.
Speaker:
