Join the Southern section for a visit to two independent breweries in Bristol, offering a chance to explore a diverse range of beer styles.
The afternoon begins at Lost & Grounded Brewers, an award-winning brewery established in 2016. The team specialise in high-quality lagers and Belgian-style ales, combining German brewing precision with the creative traditions of Belgian beer. Their beers have received international recognition, including a Gold medal at the World Beer Cup and multiple awards at the Brewers Congress Brewing Awards.
Some of their well-known beers include:
- Keller Pils – flagship unfiltered lager (4.8% ABV), which inspired the founding of the brewery and remains one of its most recognised beers
- Running With Sceptres – Indian Pale Lager
- Helles – classic German-style lager
- Apophenia – Belgian-style Tripel
From 5pm, the visit continues at Unwin’s Brewery, a newer addition to Bristol’s craft beer scene founded by brewer Tom Unwin. Located in a converted railway arch, this microbrewery showcases British bitters and ales, American-style craft beers, and continental lagers. Unwin's Brewery contributes to Bristol’s vibrant craft beer scene, particularly in the St Philip’s/BS2 area.
