Join us for an engaging session featuring Lindsey Grieg from HPA, who will present key highlights from the 2026 Hop Products Australia Harvest Report, covering hop quality, aroma profiles, and seasonal impacts. The session will also explore HPA’s hop selection process and recent advancements at Hop Central, including improvements in pelletising and the introduction of Sensory Plus™️.
This interactive workshop includes hands-on bench-top trials of advanced hop products like Spectrum™️ and Prysma™️, giving attendees practical insight into their sensory impact and real-world applications.
Following this, Scott Heward-Sharp will present on biotransformation in beer, offering a clear scientific framework for achieving targeted sensory profiles. The session will cover terpene and thiol precursor release, yeast interactions, and fermentation-derived flavour compounds, concluding with a guided sensory tasting to help brewers better design and refine hoppy beers.
