10 AM - 5PM

Meet up location:

Track Brewery and Taproom - Unit 18, Piccadilly Trading Estate, Manchester M1 2NP

Join the CIBD Great Northern Section for a full-day brewery and technical networking event in Manchester, designed especially for young and early-career brewers, technical staff and those looking to build their knowledge and connections across the industry.

The event will begin at Track Brewery and Taproom, where attendees will have the opportunity to tour the brewery before hearing from Caitlin McErlean, Technical Brewer at Track, who will share her journey through the brewing industry, advice for career progression, and technical insight from her role.

This will be followed by a technical talk from Tom Evans, Murphy & Son, covering common brewing technical faults and approaches to fixing them.

Attendees will also hear from members of the CIBD Great Northern Young Members, who recently received grant support to attend the CIBD Tour of Austria and Bavaria.

Lunch will be at Track Taproom, with a selection of pizzas and beers available to purchase from the bar.

In the afternoon, the group will continue the social at Cloudwater Taproom, before taking a short walk to Balance Brewing and Blending for a talk and tour exploring their use of mixed fermentation to create unique small-batch beers.

The final planned stop will be Sureshot Taproom, with the option for attendees to stay on and continue the social at other city centre taprooms.
