The CIBD Southern Section Committee is delighted to invite you to the Southern Section Annual Dinner, taking place at the Apex City of Bath Hotel on Friday, 20 November 2026.
Set in the historic spa city of Bath, the evening will bring together members and guests for great food, beer and company, while celebrating the achievements of successful CIBD exam candidates.
Dress Code: Dress to Impress!
The evening will begin with a drinks reception featuring a complimentary selection of real ale and kegged beer, including a special cask produced by the Section’s young members under the guidance of senior technical brewer Tristan Hembrow at Bristol Beer Factory. You’ll also hear from younger members as they share highlights and insights from their recent study tour to Bavaria and Austria.
Guests will then enjoy a three-course dinner with a choice of menu options, followed by certificate presentations to successful exam candidates. The evening will round off with a stirrup cup and cheese board before carriages.
A paid bar will also be available for wine, spirits and soft drinks.

This dinner coincides with the first Christmas market in Bath, so the committee advises that accommodation is secured in good time.
