Join the CIBD Irish Section at Priory Brewing in Tallaght for a hands-on day of brewing, technical discussion and networking.

Priory Brewing Head Brewer Ricardo Solis will guide attendees through the brewing process as the group works together to produce a beer that will later be available for sale at the brewery and served at the Irish Section Annual Dinner in February 2027.

The day will include hands-on experience, a brewery tour and opportunities for technical discussion around the brewing process and its control.

This event is particularly suited to early-career CIBD members and CIBD Brewing exam candidates, providing an opportunity to meet and network with others in the industry. 

Schedule

  • 9am start: Teas/Coffee/Pastries
    • Welcome from Ricardo and outline of the day
  • 9:30am - 10am: Mashing in - Tour
  • 12pm - 2pm: Boiling - Light refreshments
    • Talk from sponsors and CIBD 
  • 2pm: Tasting and networking
  • 3pm: Event end

Travel reimbursement

  • Limited travel reimbursement is available for CIBD members attending this event.
  • To be eligible, you must:
    • Be a current CIBD member
    • Register for and attend the event
    • Retain your travel receipts

How to get there:

  • By car: Limited car parking is available on site, but please travel by public transport where possible. 
  • By public transport: 27, 54A, S6, S8, 65, 77A, W4, W6 and Red Line Luas.

Tickets: Free for all.

Due to limited capacity in the production area, there are two arrival options for this event.

  • 9:00am arrival – Full event
    Limited to 20 attendees.
  • 12:00pm arrival – Afternoon session
    Includes light refreshments, talks, tasting and networking.

As this is a hands-on brew day, attendees must wear practical clothing and fully enclosed shoes.
