Looking to gain practical brewing experience and meet others at a similar stage in their careers?

Join the CIBD Southern Section for a fun and social brew day at Bristol Beer Factory, open to early-career CIBD members and Brewing Examination candidates.

This is your chance to help design and brew a beer that will become one of BBF's cask specials, pouring in pubs across the South West, as well as being poured at the Southern Section Dinner in Bath on 20 November 2026.

Whether you're looking to gain practical brewing experience, meet fellow brewers, or simply enjoy a great day out, we'd love to see you there.

Speakers:

  • Alix Blease, Technical Sales Manager, Lallemand Brewing
  • Tristan Hebrow, Head Brewer, Bristol Beer Factory
  • Charles Faram

How to get there

  • Those travelling by train are advised to take a taxi from the station to the brewery.
  • Limited parking will be available. Please contact the event organiser (Alix Blease, ablease@lallemand.com) in advance if you require a parking space.

Why you should attend:

  • Gain hands-on experience of a commercial brew day
  • Learn from experienced brewing and industry professionals
  • Meet other early-career brewers

Tickets:

  • FREE, including lunch.
    • Places are limited to just 10 attendees, so please register early to avoid disappointment.
    • Please tell us about any dietary requirements when booking.
    • As this is a hands-on brew day, attendees must wear practical clothing and fully enclosed shoes.
